How to Reach Bandhavgarh

Jabalpur Railway

The best route to reach   Bandhavgarh is via city Jabalpur which is 188 km away from the Park. All the major cities of India like Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata are directly connected by flights to Jabalpur. After reaching Jabalpur you can reach Unairi district by train or bus. You can take a private cab or bus to Bandhavgarh National Park which is only 23 km away.

The Flora of Bandhavgarh is majorly filled with Sa and bamboo forest in the grassland of the region. While you will only see fine trees of Sal and Bamboo in half of the forest, the other half of the forest is covered with the mixed species around the higher grassland, a prominent destination of the Bandhavgarh jungle. You Can easily spot Langurs, Asiatic Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Wild Pigs, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai, Chinkara Gaur, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Leopard, and Tiger. If you are lucky enough too can also spot Dhole, the small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, and Lesser Bandicoot Rat which are occasionally visible during safari
