Sydney in One Day

As far as cities go, Sydney is enormous. It’s so big, in fact, that by some accounts it’s 10 times larger than Paris since it has so many suburbs. Though it’s easy to be overwhelmed by its size, the good news is that many of Sydney’s most popular sights are centrally located and can be seen in a single day.

Morning

If you’re going to hit the highlights of Sydney, you may as well begin at one of the most iconic spots: the Sydney Harbour. Board the decks of a boat and watch the city fade behind you as you cruise through the harbor. Choose from a quick two-hour coffee harbor cruise to simply feel the breeze in your hair, or opt for a hop-on hop-off tour where you can make stops anywhere that suits you.
Once back on the harbor pavement, mosey over to Circular Quay for a walking tour of the city’s highlights. Take in the beautiful views of the harbor and Sydney’s most iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House.

Afternoon

Take on the Sydney BridgeClimb for a thrill unlike any other in the city. Climb to the top of theSydney Harbour Bridge and you’ll gain panoramic views that stretch from the Blue Mountains, through the sprawling city, and out toward the beaches of Bondi.

Afterwards, opt for a guided tour of the famous Sydney Opera House, or turn your afternoon into a longer adventure and visit Taronga Zoo for a two-hour, behind-the-scenes tour with a professional zookeeper.

Evening

As the day wears on and the sun begins to set, prepare yourself for another great view of the city atop the Sydney Tower. Dine on a delicious buffet of fresh seafood and prime meats for dinner before heading to see a world-class opera inside the Sydney Opera House. And if planning the day for yourself is too much work, you can always opt for a comprehensive city sightseeing tour that takes you to see all the best spots in one day.
